the title said it all, i'm gonna get some heat protection, but i havn't got any yet, and i straighten my hait quite often, so does your hait stop growing or grow slower if you straighten without protection?Does straightening regularyly stop hair growth?

I am a licensed cosmetologist. Your hair absolutely does not stop growing if you straighten it. You hair grows from the scalp out not the ends down. Now you can cause breakage if you do not use the right products to protect during heat styling....depending on your hair texture, that will look like little ';fly aways.';
