Does estrogen supplements help to decrease or permanently stop hair growth on the face and neck?

My twin sister is so nervous, she's 18, and she's growing hair on the side of her face (like where a guys sideburns would be but going straight down) she also has some random hairs on her neck, and right above her eyebrows. She never wants to put her hair up voluntarily anymore and she's constantly wearing a turtleneck shirt. She has done some research and she believe it's horomones. Mom says it's because of the fact that she wears her hair down all the time and also it's always in front of her face. Is that true? Or is it just the horomones?Does estrogen supplements help to decrease or permanently stop hair growth on the face and neck?
Iv found taking pueraria mirifica (a phyto-estrogen) has lessened hair growth on my body, besides other benefits such as supporting the secondary female charateristics. Literally have been taking it for a week and four days and am having to shave less often! Its awesome, am raving about on yahoo answers! lol

I hope this will help your sister and im sure it will, it must be a horrible situation to be in for her.Does estrogen supplements help to decrease or permanently stop hair growth on the face and neck?
I agree she may (or may not) have a hormonal imbalance, but taking estrogen probably won't help and will more likely make it worse.

She may have polycystic ovarian syndrome or some other medical problem. Or this may run in the family and/or just be ';her.'; No offense, but I don't think your mother knows what she's talking about.

An endocrinology appointment is a good idea.
She needs to be evaluated by an endocrinologist. It's most likely some hormonal imbalance.
